September 14, 2016

On Sunday, January 17th 2016, I was crowned the 2016 Miss Black & Gold representing the state of Oregon and the Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Rho Beta and Epsilon Zeta Lambda chapters. One of my proudest moments during the pageant was my talent show performance. Wanting to stand out and do something different I decided to perform speed painting. That night I received a standing ovation and a performance that would later go on to wow the crowed and judges at Regional's, where I received the Miss Alpha West title.

Since winning the Regional title I used my speed painting for different fundraisers.

After securing the 2016 title of Miss Black & Gold for the state of Oregon at Portland State University. My line sisters from the Xi Upsilon chapter at Oregon State University came out to support me.

Speed painting of Martin Luther King, who was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I painted this upside down in less than 3 minutes.

Crowned the 2016 Miss Alpha West in Sacramento, California.
